Career Day: Path to the Future!

Now, all of us middle school students have a good nine to ten years until we get an actual professional job. But it’s never too early to prepare!
The annual JMS Career Day is approaching, and there is much to look forward to! A short Friday, on March 30 with dismissal  at 12, students will not need many supplies, with the exception of most likely a small bag, a pencil, and some papers.
Past, present, and future. These are some important deciding factors influencing your time during Career Day. In the past, all of us students took the Holland Code test, where we were given some questions and asked to check off all that apply.
The quiz then gave us three important letters, letters that would affect the career classes we would choose to attend on Career Day.
There letters currently are our three most defining character traits and job qualities in the time of the present. And so us students choose our classes accordingly. And in the future, we will go to these workshops and learn more and more about what will suit us best or what we can do to help finance us and make us happy in the future.
Also, right after Career Day, Spring Break begins! There will be no school for a week, from April 2-8.
Career Day is something exciting coming up, and may even impact your later life! Be prepared!

Future Doctors of America Health Fair

As you may know, Future Doctors of America is a 9-session long class for an introduction into medical skills and knowledge for any students who are interested in working in the medical industry. At the end of each season, our Future Doctors show what they have learned throughout the course. Tomorrow, 3/28, is going to be the current class's showcase. They have decided to showcase their knowledge about the heart and heart disease with a Health Fair, which will be going on at the stage during lunch, from 12:30 to 1:00. Come out, support your friends, and learn a thing or two while you're at it!
