CHAPTER 6: Carnival, Commotion, and Cows

“I don’t see why I came to the outskirts of town instead of my uncle’s tower,” Teagan huffed.

Chapter Two: The Mayor, Escapades, and Cows

His face was swelled with a terrifying, eggplant purple color. “S-sir,” the sandy-haired boy stuttered.

Farmer Kalor turned his attention from me to him and gruffly said, “Well? What is it?”

“This boy was trespassing, I caught him,” he said. I was tempted to retort that he was sleeping on the job, but it wouldn’t really make much of a difference. I would just be getting him into trouble, and what good would it do for either of us?

Chapter One: Thievery & Cows

The colors of the evening sky lit up the dark valley where the small city outskirt villages slept and the vast farmland stretched to the horizon. It was a tiny but nice place, where houses were tucked under the rolling hills and endless farmland. Beneath the peace that seemingly cast a layer of mist over the village, was an unrest that stretched throughout the land.
